Liechtenstein has the capital city which is the Vaduz. It is not the largest city. Schaan is slightly larger. The Prince's castle and his museums are the main point of interest for visitors who come there to visit this beautiful land. Vaduz is the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein and the seat of the national parliament. It is located on the Rhine, has about 5,248 inhabitants, most of whom are Roman Catholic. Its cathedral is the seat of a Roman Catholic archbishop. Vaduz is better known internationally, it is not the largest town in the principality: Its neighboring Schaan has a greater population. Vaduz has a lively tourist industry. It has no airport & railway station. It is world’s one of the fewest cities which has no railway & plane approach.

The railway station which is near is the Schaan that is located about 2 km from the city. There few trains stop except for a local service between Buchs SG in Switzerland and Feldkirch in Austria. There are extremely frequent bus connections between nearby mainline railway stations including Buchs SG, Sargans and Feldkirch. During the tourist seasons, the mobile tourist offices are parked in central areas with officers guiding the tourists. The city has a lively country market selling unique handmade souvenirs. One of Liechtenstein's three original banks is the Verwaltungs und Privatbank. VPB offers the banking services, but the focus lays on the management.

VPB was one of the fattest and laziest. But financial realities forced it to change. Profits dropped more between 2000 and 2002, due to shady but profitable clients closing their accounts, falling stock markets and high costs. VPB's share price got hit too, falling from its all-time high in 2000 to a low in 2003. In Vaduz - the only city in Liechtenstein - the official currency is the Swiss franc. There are the related services for wealthy clients. The fastest way to get into the town of Vaduz is to get a train from Zurich to Sargans, then catch a bus to Vaduz. There is some alternative ways, you can also catch a train from Buchs to Schaan, then catch a bus to Vaduz.
